Modules that perform transcode, are optimized 64 bits and operate independently of each other. Load balance is performed automatically distribution of workloads across transcode servers so the highest efficiency is obtained in trancode servers which are defined in to the system.
Easy Transcoder can be installed on a single server. System can be expanded by adding new servers. In this way, transcode can be provided at large enterprise level by having more than one transcode server in the system.
Easy Transcoder provides rich feedback on the processing part with active transcode processes, completed processes and workload processes. Extensive search tool with different filters can be customized. Live feedbacks are avaliable for active workloads.
A source folder definition is required for transcode process and the materials in the source folder are included in the work list. Each source folder is also a watch folder. Once the source folder has been defined, the Easy Transcoder keeps track of this folder, and if a new material is added in this folder, this new material is automatically added to the worklist. The materials in the work list are automatically transcribed by queue, the user can pause or cancel the active transcode in case of neccessary and queue another material in the worklist for transcode. In this way, users can perform manual operations too.
Trancoded files can be transferred by FTP File Transfer Protocol. Transcoded files can be added to FTP File Transfer Protocol management and the FTP process can performed by automatically or manually. Transfer priority placement can be changed in the FTP file transfer work list. An active FTP file transfer can be canceled and a different file that is in the FTP work list can be started. Different FTP servers in the same source folder or FTP directories in the same FTP servers can be defined for the file transfer. In case of tranfer fails, FTP file transfer can be started manually.
When a source folder is defined for the transcode process, the materials in that folder are included in the work list. Each source folder is also a special watch folder. Once the source folder has been defined, the Easy Transcoder keeps track of this folder, and if a new material is added in this folder, this new material is automatically added to the worklist. The materials in the worklist are automatically queued and transcribed, the user can stop or cancel the active transcode process, and queue another material in the worklist for transcode. This way, users can perform manual operations.
Easy Transcoder performs simultaneous transcode operations on each server to get the highest performance from the server's hardware. The transcoding modules are optimized to 64 bits and operate independently of each other. Workload sharing is performed between servers automatically, so the highest efficiency is obtained from each transcode server which is defined in the system.
Files that have completed the transcode process can be transferred by FTP file transfer if desired. Files that have completed the transcode process are added to the FTP file transfer job list and the FTP file transfer operation can also be performed automatically and /or manually. The rankings in the FTP file transfer job list can be changed for the file transfer priority. FTP file transfer can be defined for each of the defined source folders including former defined source folders for different FTP servers, or different directories on the same FTP server. Files that fail to transfer FTP files appear as unsuccessful in the FTP file transfer job list, and FTP file transfer can be initiated manually if desired.
